Home Education
The Governor Wentworth Regional School Board recognizes that RSA 193-A provides the right for parents to pursue home education within the parameters established by the New Hampshire Department of Education.
Participation of home education students in programs and activities within the district are subject to the following conditions:
- Before the admission to any program, or participation in any activity, a student must comply with all policies of the district, including but not limited to: immunization requirements, school rules, and grading procedures.
- All students are subject to the same age, performance, and prerequisite standards for admission to courses and co-curricular activities.
- Students may not be enrolled for more than 50% of the time in school based programs.
- Students who are enrolled in a quarter course shall be considered as a 1/16th student in regards to the Average Daily Membership (ADM); students who are enrolled in a semester course shall be considered as a 1/8th student, and towns shall be charged accordingly.
